Quincy University’s Music Department will host its annual Saxophone Day for high school students on Friday, December 6, at the Connie Niemann Center for Music at QU’s North Campus, 17th & Seminary Road.

The day will bring together high school saxophone players from around the area to form a saxophone choir. Students will spend the day participating in a saxophone choir, learning about the saxophone, and watching a saxophone quartet recital. Saxophone players between the grades of 9-12 are encouraged to attend.  All abilities are welcome.  The cost is free, and meals are included.

The event begins with registration at 9:00 a.m. and culminates with a concert for family and friends at 5 p.m. The community is also invited to the saxophone quartet recital at 2 p.m.
